- Exercise regularly- it can stimulate the immune system and promote healthy sleep, and sweating removes the toxins from your body.
- Get lots of sleep- People who get less than seven hours of sleep each night are three times more likely to catch colds than those who get at least eight hours.
- Stay away from other people who are sick- reduce your chance of getting sick by staying away from people who have a contagious disease.
- Drink hot tea with honey- the steam stimulates the hair follicles in your nose to remove germs quicker, lemon mucus and honey is antibacterial, and honey is known to soothe a sore throat.
- Eat lots of protein- research shows that low protein can deplete the immune system
- Stay home if you get sick- doing this will reduce the spread of the flu
