Head cross country coach Scott Rosno taking a picture of his final four team. Almost the whole cross country team was there supporting their teammates. “I am beyond proud of this team, and hopefully the other young kids that came to support them can see how amazing state is and strive to come back here to compete,” Rosno said.

Coach Rosno quickly walks up the hill to go meet his runner that just competed. Rosno was hustling up and down every hill to make sure to cheer his runners on. “Each kid ran a better time at this course then last time they ran here,” Rosno said.
Carrera makes his way around a curve towards the end of the race. He is one of the two boys that made it to state this year, and also the youngest qualifier.
While Carrera is running, at the bottom of the hill you can seeShoemaker,Henry-Perlich, and former Hastings High runner Chelsey Espinosa running up a hill so they can cheer him on to the end. The support that each team gives the other has been there all season long. “Kelyn and I both talked to our families then Coach Rosno then decided to run and cheer on the boys,” said Shoemaker.
Struss ran past one of his opponents right at the mile marker. He was striving to catch the boy right in front of him.
Evan Struss just ran by the first mile marker of the race. He is the second boy this year to make it to state, and he’s only a sophomore.

Before the final cross country race of the 2021 began, Struss and Carrera warmed up. Each time they would walk back to the start they looked around amazed by how many people were there.
