According to the USDA Statistics Center, at least one in eight Americans consume pizza on any given day. The success of the world’s most popular food is undeniable.
Many pizza chains fancy themselves as the best in town, claiming that they still make every single pizza by hand just like my grandmother used to, but some turn out a huge quantity of pizza everyday, using high-tech ovens and machinery in general. At the end of the day, they still make our favorite food ever. But is the nearest go-to pizza chain the best option?
Seniors Kaila Avent and Chandice Rogers have tried and rated some of the most famous pizzas in town. They decided to try both chain pizzas and local restaurants.
The competitors for the award of best pepperoni pizza in town were: Pizza Hut, Little Caesar’s, Kitty’s Roadhouse, and Casey’s. The second set is for the best pineapple pizza and the competitors are Little Caesar’s, RedBird bakery, and Kitty’s Roadhouse.
Ready? Set. Eat!
After eating almost all of the pizzas mentioned above (they were really hungry), the two seniors finally made up their minds.
“I really enjoyed the pineapple pizza from the local bakery here in town! It was super tasteful and the crust was soft enough! It is a ten out of ten!,” Rogers said.
“Personally, I always thought that the best pizza ever was the pineapple one, but I did not expect the taste of the Kitty’s pepperoni pizza! I liked it a lot and everyone should try it!,” Avent said.
