In a highly anticipated matchup Tuesday night, Adams Central’s boys’ and girls’ basketball teams swept Hastings High. Each of the Tiger JV squads fell to Adams Central, but the varsity teams still held hope.
The varsity girls hung with AC, but eventually fell 47-36 due to the three-point shooting abilities of the Patriots paired with their success from the free-throw line down the stretch.
The Tiger boys fought a tight battle in the first half, entering halftime with only a three point deficit. In the end, HHS fell 58-48 to the Patriots due to a third quarter scoring drought, in which they scored only 2 points.
HHS-AC is always big news in Hastings and the Patriots came out on top this time.
Regardless of the outcome, it’s always great to be a Tiger!
