Last night, the Hastings Tigers traveled to Holdrege for the district b-7 championship. The Tigers, with an overall record of just 10-23, won the Class B, District 7 championship over Lexington to advance to Saturday’s substate round.
“We did amazing last night. We are working really well together and I can’t wait to see how well we’ll do at sub-state,” freshmen Hope Kohmetscher said.
This is the third year in row that the tigers have won districts to advance to the sub-state round. After losing 21 straight sets, the Tigers are finely on a hot streak. After last night’s wins, they are on a 10 set winning streak.
“We have come a really long way from the beginning of the season. I’m proud of these girls and all they’ve done,” head coach David Hepner said.
The Tigers will play number three ranked Omaha Skutt Catholic Saturday November, 7 at noon.
