Plans for Office: Clinton plans to make the boldest investment in jobs since World War II during her first 100 days as president. She also wants preschool to be available to every family in a matter of 10 years and wants to prevent students from having debt to public colleges and universities. Clinton plans to make companies pay their employees fairly and force overseas companies to give their tax breaks to the U.S. Also, she wants to make sure the upper class pays their taxes.
Donald Trump (Republican):
Running mate: Mike Pence (R)
Plans for Office: Trump wants to make sure the Second Amendment right to bear arms is upheld. He also wants to use programs like Project Exile to rid American streets of gang members and drug dealers. Trump also plans to build up our army in efforts to defeat ISIS. Also, Trump wants to repeal Obamacare and build a wall, which will be paid by Mexico, along the U.S. and Mexico border.
Gary Johnson (Libertarian):
Running mate: William Weld (L)
Plans for Office: Johnson plans to use his first act as president to send give Congress a balanced budget to reduce the national debt. Also, Johnson wants to remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act, which would allow states to decide if they want to legalize the substance or not without interference of the federal government. He also wants to issue a tax plan where taxed paid are based off of how much one spends, not how much one earns.
Jill Stein (Green):
Running mate: Ajamu Baraka (G)
Plans for Office: Stein wants to give new life to democracy as president. She also wants to prevent environmental racism and injustice. Stein also plans on promoting healthy communities and strengthen local communities’ ecology.
House of Representatives for District 3
Adrian Smith (R) (Incumbent)
Plans for Office: Smith wants to make sure rural Nebraskans are able to go to their local hospitals for healthcare. He also wants to push the Executive in Need of Scrutiny Act to prevent regulatory overreach. Also, Smith plans to push a budget that would give a fiscal responsibility to the government to pay off the national debt.
Nebraska State Senate District 33
Plans for Office: Seiler wants to prevent taxes on farmers and other community workers. He also wants to push the return of tax money to District 33. Also, Seiler wants to keep the protection of the Second Amendment.
