The Pride Winners of the week of September 10 consisted of many excellent students from Hastings Senior High. Of this week, we randomly chose Lexie Schultz to use as our student spotlight of the month September.
Lexie Schultz is a freshman and an active member of show choir and the many great things that come with being in show choir. Lexie enjoys practicing the choreography.
“I like learning the choreography the most because I did dance for quite a few years, but it’s so different than dance class, so I like how it’s kind of like dance, but the moves are different,” Schultz said.
Like many, high school is a new environment and it is a refreshing start. Lexie enjoys the new experiences that come with Hastings High School. When coming to high school, you transition into having a significantly longer class and for some, it is dreaded, but for others, it is an advantage.
“I like block scheduling because I like staying in a classroom longer so we have more time to learn the material,” Schultz said.
The three stories in Hastings High can really get the best of some of us. Lexie is one of the individuals that doesn’t find the stairs one of the most pleasurable experiences provided in high school. However, it is a good thing that they are Schultz’s least favorite part of high school.
“Going up and down the stairs is fine, but it just takes longer to get to classes,” Schultz said.
One thing Lexie would like to leave with everyone is to, “Look ahead and not behind,” Schultz said.
