This is the part of the school year when grades seem to drop and focus seems to be lost in most classrooms. Self consciously known or not, your mind has set goals before the school year started, whether that may be just graduating, making the honor roll or receiving a certain GPA for the year. Naturally, goals are set. It could be the time of year when it’s cold outside and school never seems to find an end, which can cause some slippage in your grades and performance inside and outside of the classroom. Understanding your current perspective and how you can change it will allow you to find that switch to set you over the edge and accomplish those goals you set out to do. Being hungry to go for more is simply about perspective, and it is the understanding that you only have one life and so much time to set out what you have wanted to do. Because of that, there are two major aspects that can affect your motivation.hose include selfishness and gratitude. Be grateful for the time you have and selfish with the time you have left.
Selfishness
Being selfish does not always have to deal with money or have to be known as a bad reference to someone. Go through your life with a greater sense of urgency and purpose, knowing that the things you do every day will change your own life drastically but also impact the people around you. It is more important to me to have an impact and leave a legacy. Find what you really enjoy doing and enjoy the process.
Gratitude
When most people want motivation they might look up a Youtube Video or listen to some music, but most people often forget about gratitude. If you really want to fuel winning, just be grateful. That could be writing down what you are grateful for before you leave for school or work, or as you go to bed every night. Nowadays you can even find an app on your phone to help you with this. For me, it’s impossible not to stay motivated or get too down when you’re feeling grateful.
Selfishness and gratitude are two key aspects to keep your motivation and accomplish your goals. Everything you need for motivation you can find within yourself.
