On May 23rd Mrs. Lisa Prickett will say goodbye to Hastings High School after being a part of Hastings Public Schools since 1993 and a teacher at Hastings High for 14 of those years.
As she packs her bags here at Hastings High she will begin unpacking her bags in Kalispell, Montana which is 30 miles South of Glacier National Park.
In Montana she will have her own studio where she will paint and have the time of her life. She will live with her daughter and son and her 3 grandchildren in the mountains and on Flathead Lake.
Her time here was well spent painting murals and chatting with her students. She also recalls standing in the pouring rain during a fire drill.
“I remember about 2 years ago it was raining, and we had a fire drill,” Prickett said.
“I will always remember the great staff here at HHS and the way that each student I taught touched my life and how much I loved getting up to come to work here each day,” Prickett said.
She doesn’t see herself coming back to Hastings as her family lives in Montana, 1209 miles away.
