Another week of the 2015-2016 school year has passed. Friday, the day every student looks forward to is finally here, but this isn’t your typical Friday in Hastings, Nebraska. This Friday is the Friday of the Adams Central vs. Hastings High football game.
The Tigers and The Patriots square off on 10/9/15. The Tigers come into this game with a record of 2-4 with wins over Schuyler and Gering. The Patriots enter with a record of 2-4 as well with wins over Gering and Alliance.
Both teams have their specific strengths and weaknesses.
“Their biggest weakness is probably their offensive line and their defensive line… I think we can move the ball and I think we can shut down the run,” said Tigers head coach Charlie Shoemaker.
When asked about Adams Central’s biggest strength coach Shoemaker said, “Throwing the ball. Obviously they’ve got quite a few athletes out there.” The Tigers main focus is to shut down the Patriots’ passing game.
Senior captain Josh Dycus says “I think that if we hit the receivers hard they will be scared to catch the ball.”
Both teams are going to compete hard. At the end of the day one team will come out on top.
