As I walked into the wrestling room as a freshman I knew that I’d be the guy who could to eat due to my size. I weighed about 90 pounds going into that year. Sophomore year I was also underweight so I could to pig out. When my junior year rolled around, I made a sacrifice by going down to the lightest weight class, which was 106. Typically I weighed 118 coming in on Monday’s that year. To make the cut I knew I had to begin eating healthy. I started eating rice cakes, yogurt and also tried to get my protein in by eating little four-ounce sirloin here and there. My senior year I told myself that I was done cutting weight and would go the weight class that I was close to and that was 120 pounds.

After each season, every wrestler knows exactly what they want. For me, I was ready to eat a lot of ice cream and have some Mountain Dew Voltage. For my teammates, they were ready to begin eating and drinking unhealthy too after their seasons came to an end.
