“Who doesn’t love a little music accompanied by chocolate?” Jon Marquez director of choirs at Hastings Senior High School said.
Coming up on Friday the 23 at 7:30, the annual Love and Chocolate show will be hosted in the auditorium. Love and Chocolate has been an annual concert for more than 15 years.
Mr. Marquez and his singers are very excited about this show; it is one of their most popular concerts. If you attend Love and Chocolate this coming Friday, you can expect to see around nine solos, two group acts, and two acapella pieces. As it is obvious within the title of the show, you can expect to see a grand chocolate buffet that you can enjoy at your own leisure.
Marquez explains the run-down of the show, “The concert should be about 45 minutes for the first act, then we will have the chocolate buffet accompanied by our award winning show choir ‘Uncaged On Stage.’ Usually, the choir performs songs that are older, but Marquez says that one of the reasons people should come to the concert is to see the students showcase their talents with more popular songs.
Not only will there be singing, but there will also be other forms of talent as well.
“The instrumental talents that the students are bringing to the stage is another highlight of the show. We have guitar, ukulele, and we have drums. We have students sharing talents that a lot of people have never seen before.”
This show will definitely be one to remember.
