Proudly displaying their new banner, the Tiger Marching Band took top honors at the Hastings College Melody Round-Up Parade. They were awarded the top AA band and the drum majors tied for the top spot with Blue HIll.
The new banner, which is carried in front of the band during parades, was purchased with donations from supporters of the band. Over the last year, band parents sponsored a “Fill the Drum” campaign to gather donations for the banner, which cost about $1400. The banner the band had been using was purchased in 1974 and used every year through the 2012 marching season. That banner has been donated to the Hastings Museum.
