Three years ago, a fashion blog was started by two seniors. Megan and Mariah Steiner, who run the blog, say that compliments from others on their fashion choices are what inspired them to go online.
“We like to put outfits together and make unique styles, so we thought we would share those by making a website because people would complement on our outfits,” Megan said.
The twins handle the fashion side of it and get assistance from their older sister, Justine.
“Our older sister helped us a lot by creating the website,” Mariah said.
The Steiner twins post on Instagram (@pairoftrends) along with their blog. They often try to post daily, but it can be difficult at times when the weather is rough or they have a busy schedule.
“We usually post an outfit of the day what we were wearing that day. The weather sometimes dictates because we usually take pictures outside,” Megan said.
The pictures feature the twins together or by themselves depending on the outfits that day.
“We take them ourselves or older sister takes them when we want pictures of both of us,” Mariah said.
The most complicated part for the twins is creating the content for the viewers.
“(The most difficult this is) Growing our following because you have to be so consistent and have such good content,” Megan said.
Pair of Trends won’t stop after they graduate. The Steiner twins want to keep their viewers updated.
“We want to go to Omaha so we have a lot of places to take pictures and get inspirations,” Mariah said. “We are very thankful for our dedicated followers who have been there since 2015.”
