The high school divides the school’s parking lots into what students call the “Jock lot” and the “Pot lot” or “West lot.” The separation could be assumed that people park in one or the other because of status. Some students have different opinions over this.
Senior Diego Ventura comments on this subject by saying,
“People who play sports and people who want to fit in typically park in the Jock lot and most others park in the pot lot,” he also goes on to say, “I park in both lots and it depends on what my schedule is that day.”
Junior Skylar Wach parks every day in the pot lot. He says the reason he parks there is because there is no room to park once he comes back from lunch if he were to park in the jock lot.
Students at HHS assume they are separated by where they park but it is more of a basic reasoning of why someone parks in one lot over the other. The reason is more simple, whatever works best for you is a good place to park.
