As a senior or even a junior, it is important to be looking into what scholarships are available to you and how to apply for them. These are just a few scholarships offered to students along with some links to websites to help get you started.
Hagan Scholarship: https://haganscholarships.org/
The Hagan Scholarship is merit-based and can provide over $5,000 each semester for any high achieving student, motivated student. There are many benefits to this with the obvious one being it helps recipients to graduate almost debt-free. The deadline for this is November 15th of 2019.
UNL Honors Program: https://honors.unl.edu/
The UNL Honors Program is an experience meant to give students an opportunity to explore new knowledge through research and to hear a wide variety of opinions. For fall admission, applications are due May 1, 2020, and for spring admission they are due December 1, 2020. This application is only for admission into the Honors program, not the university itself.
P.E.O Star Scholarship: https://www.peointernational.org/about-star
The P.E.O Star Scholarship is offered to exception senior high school women who plan on attending a postsecondary school in the next year. It can provide $2,500 which can be used towards tuition, books, or boarding.
Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education:

The TEACH grant offers $4,000 a year to students who plan to complete course work needed to begin a career in teaching. This is different from other federal grants which requires you to take certain classes and then do a certain kind of job to keep the grant from turning into a loan.
