As the class of 2022 is approaching their senior year, it’s time to start thinking about senior pictures.
Recently, I have been thinking about who I want to take my senior pictures, where and when I want them done, and what to wear.
A few incredible, reasonably priced photographer options near Hastings are Emma Redinger (@emmaredinger on Instagram), Matilyn Kershner (@matilynlexiphotography), Megan Schukei (@meganschukeiphotography), and Kara Mae (@karamae.co).
After some thinking, I decided on Kara Mae to be my photographer. In my situation, my parents want me to have two different sets of photos in two different towns. Conveniently, Kara offers a package of two sessions in one as well as having pictures that I love.
The next thing to figure out is where and when to get your senior pictures done.
I’m not sure where all my pictures will be yet, but I have a few ideas.
My first idea is at Harlan County Lake. I have been going to this lake for most of my life and my dad would like me to take pictures at it since it has meaning to our family and has beautiful scenery.
My family also owns some pasture land with a pretty lake and gorgeous fields with wildflowers and I’ve always wanted to take some of my senior pictures there.
Some popular ideas for Hastings seniors is taking pictures downtown or near water, like Hastings Lake for example.
I don’t know where I want to take the rest of my pictures, just somewhere pretty!
I believe I am getting my senior pictures done in June or July of this year, because I love the heat and I, like most people, want them done in the summer.
I would recommend getting them done anywhere from May to early August so they’re ready for your school year!
The last thing to consider when taking your senior pictures is what you’re going to wear.
I would suggest looking on Pinterest for outfit ideas or on Instagram.
