Student council is giving out free bracelets this week to show that Hastings High can be more united as a school.
In every English class, each student will be given a free bracelet by the student council.
“We do a school activity to bring everyone together, and we wanted to show solidarity by giving everyone a bracelet,” student council president Chyna Delker said.
The bracelets are black, orange, and white, and they have black lettering that says, “Everyone a tiger.”
“It does not matter who we are, we all have had hard things that happen in life and sometimes we need a little reminder to be kind,” Delker said.
The bracelets show that everyone in the school is a tiger no matter who they are. The bracelets are meant to be a sign of kindness.
Throughout the student body, positivity can be spread with these bracelets.
“Maybe this bracelet will do that for some people, but maybe it won’t. All we can hope for is a positive school setting and a more positive student body,” said Delker.
