Photographers from across the midwest gathered at the University of Nebraska Lincoln to learn new ways to beef up their photo taking skills.
Instructor, Bruce Thorson, an instructor in photo journalism at UNL, taught the students for four days on the process of taking a great photograph.
For their first assignment, students walked around downtown Lincoln taking pictures of people they wouldn’t normally speak to. Students even had the chance to go to the Pershing Center to photograph the national rollerskating competition. It was also a chance for students to improve their photojournalism skills. Students say they love journalism camp because its a way for them to improve their skills and a chance to meet new people as well.
