Freshman Chayce Hepner looked disgusted as his friends asked him if he was going to the annual Under the Bridge Dance.
“I heard it’s just a grindfest, maybe it will be good I’ll have to go to find out for sure,” Hepner said.
The Under the Bridge Dance, the first dance of the year where students from all grades come together for one night. Everyone has their own opinion about what some students call the “grindfest.”
While opinions vary on the events of the dance, freshman Alex Kaweesa had a different idea.
“It’s the first dance. I think it will be crazy and energetic!” Kaweesa said.
Senior Grayce Hueske was looking forward to her last dance.
“I thought it wouldn’t be as good as past years but because I am a senior now I wanted to make it fun.”
Juniors Manuel Soto and Melissa Espinoza had a slightly different idea.
“We are both currently single, so that meant more fun, and dancing!’ said Espinoza.
After the dance was over, Kawessa had a whole new view of the event.
“It was the complete opposite of what I thought it was going to be! It was chaotic and energetic and it was an amazing time!” Kawessa said.
Hueske seemed to have the complete opposite outcome from what she expected.
“The dance was actually way better than I thought, It finally hit me that I am a senior and this is my last Under the Bridge Dance, so why not make the best of it!”
Some student got a different outcome from what they they expected the dance to be like, others knew right away.
“The dance was exactly what I thought it would be! Fun and crazy!” Soto said.
As for Espinoza she got what she wanted all along.
“I knew it would be great because I was a single pringle, so I got to dance with a lot of attractive people!” Espinoza said.
