Summer is right around the corner and everyone is starting what seems to be an endless countdown. What is everyone so excited about? Is it that there is no school? Or could it be the season itself? From the looks of it, some students have big vacation plans.
Students and even teachers at HHS have several plans for the summer. So many exciting things awaits each and every member of Hastings High.
“This summer my family and I are planning on going to Disneyland. I’m going to feel like a little girl going but I’m sure it’ll be fun,” sophomore Marily Galvin said.
Even teachers and staff are super excited for the summer and to start their adventures.
“I’m taking a trip down to the Grand Canyon this summer. I plan on doing a little fishing and probably camping as well,” counselor Scott Engberg said.
Some seniors are focusing on life after high school.
“I’m just going to focus on getting everything I need for college,” senior Carlos Roca said.
Some seniors will spend the summer preparing for college. Like Roca, many students will be gathering all the materials they’ll be taking with them, finishing last minute papers, and maybe even going on college tours.
