It’s that time of year again. Hunters are bringing out their rifles and bows in hopes of getting that perfect deer. The hunting season has started and hunters are getting together with friends and family to head out to their favorite hunting spots. However, there is always the question on whether hunting with a bow or gun is better. These are the thoughts of senior Riley Meredith.
“I prefer to use a bow because it’s a bigger challenge opposed to rifle hunting, where you can shoot your target up to 300 yards.” said Meredith.
Another great thing that happens throughout the hunting season is the number of stories and funny moments that all hunters get at some point. One of these funny moments also happened for Riley Meredith.
“We were at bear camp in Minnesota, sitting in our lodge and there was a rat on the floor. So I bet my dad $20 bucks that he wouldn’t be able to hit it. However, he took out his fillet knife, threw it and hit the rat dead on. After that we hung it outside on a tree to show it off.” Meredith stated.
