With amazing commercials, great teams, top tier performances, and close games, the Super Bowl is one of the most anticipated days for the sports community.
With everyone getting ready to watch the biggest football game of the season, many are just as excited about not just the game, but everything it includes as well.
“One commercial I can still remember is the QR code that led me to coinbase.com, the reason why I remember that commercial is because it was a QR code bouncing around the screen for 60 seconds and I couldn’t help but scan the code,” junior Nolan Studly said.
The Super Bowl is full of entertainment. Although most of it is from the game itself, many of it is also in between plays.
“I liked the halftime show, especially because I have recently (within the last year) gotten into some of those artists so it was cool to see them perform. I also think it displayed the culture of the area that the superbowl was being held in very well,” junior Logan Brooks said.
Outside the Super Bowl itself, many hold gatherings and parties to watch the game together. Some might be in charge of bringing drinks, snacks or foods.
“One of my favorite parts of watching the Super Bowl is the food my family makes. This year we had burgers made by my dad and nachos I helped my mom prepare. To me, it wouldn’t be a true super bowl if I didn’t have good food to eat with it,” sophomore Johnathan Whyrick said.
However, not everyone commits to watching the game entirely, some decide to just stay updated as the game goes on.
“The only time I watched the Super Bowl was when I was waiting for my pho to be served at Pho Factory in Lincoln. Our meal ended during the 3rd quarter, so I left thinking the Bengals were going to win. On the drive home, I checked the score by refreshing google,” senior Pauline Jonglertham said.
And with the game being close throughout the whole second half, many football fans and watchers of the Super Bowl were on their toes until the last few seconds.
“I was rooting for the Bengals to beat the Rams because I felt like the Bengals were the biggest underdogs in the playoffs and I felt like the Bengals deserved a Super Bowl Title,” junior Richard Jarosik said.
