In the first round of the state baseball tournament today the Tigers defeated Norris 3-2. The Tigers took a 2-0 lead after the the second inning. Norris scored one run in the third closing the Tigers’ lead to 2-1 until the sixth inning when Norris tied it up. The game went into one extra inning before they could secure their victory.
The Tigers are set to play Wahoo/Bishop Neumann/Lincoln Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14 at Haymarket Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. Hastings Senior High will dismiss school at 1:15 p.m. so students, faculty & staff may attend the baseball game.
