The infamous Under the Bridge dance is the first dance of the school year where all grades intermix and “dance” the night away. There are many opinions floating around about the dance and what freshman think it’ll be like; so I took to the hallways of HHS to get opinions about UTB.
Freshman Abigail Cully was under the impression that the UTB was going to be like every other middle school dance and didn’t understand all the hype. Freshman Jaci Anderson on the other hand believes
“It’ll be a huge grindfest, and I’m ready for it.”
Most freshman agreed that their friends had a huge influence on whether they went or not.
A majority of the teachers had the same opinion about the dance using words like “Inappropriate, interesting, and gross.”
However math teacher Ben Welsh had a different opinion.
“ Its not during school so it doesn’t take away from academics so I think it’s fine.” Welsh said.
Though Welsh thinks students should be able to have a good time, he’s not sure he would volunteer as a chaperone.
“[I would] if it wasn’t during my bedtime,” Welsh said.
Along with Mr. Ortegren who said
“Chaperoning? Never in a million years.”
