This week is the first of our weekly poll. We started out by polling 100 students: What’s your favorite TV Show?
The most agreed upon TV Show is Pretty Little Liars, it broadcasts on Tuesday nights at 7 on ABC Family. The show’s premise is about four girls who get stalked by “A”. “A” threatens to tell all the girls’ secrets and might kill a few people in the process. It’s a very dramatic show that has many twists to it. PLL is based off of a series of books by author, Sara Shepard. The target audience for this show is teenage girls, but who knows, maybe some guys out there like it too.
The second favorite show is The Walking Dead, which broadcasts on Sunday nights at 8 on AMC. It is focused on a small group of people that have survived a zombie apocalypse. It follows the group as they try to find a safe haven and escape the zombies, but with every turn, they run into more troubles. The target audience is anyone between the ages of 18 – 49, but that doesn’t stop highschoolers from watching it.
Workaholics is the third favorite show, it is shown on Comedy Central at 9 p.m. on Wednesdays. Its focus is on trio of friends who work in an office. They were roommates in college and are now struggling to give up their party ways, even now that they are in the real world. The target audience for this show is mainly for men ages 18 – 32. This show has mature content, so be sure to okay it with your parents before watching!
The fourth most agreed upon show is The Big Bang Theory. It broadcasts on Thursday nights at 7 on KGIN. It is based on two “nerdy” friends who live in an apartment building across the hall from a rather good looking girl. The show has a lot of science references and it is an all around good show. This show is targeted for mostly anyone who wants to laugh for a good half hour.
Well that’s it for this week’s poll! Be sure to check out our website for next week’s when we ask the students: What’s your favorite band/singer?
