
This was an exciting week for the tigers and their fans. Â
On Tuesday, Hastings High held the Adams Central vs. Hastings High basketball games. Both the girls and boys basketball teams won.
On Wednesday, the quiz bowl competition was held at North Shore Church in Hastings. The junior team won the competition and are headed for state. Here’s the link for our coverage of the competition if you would like more information.
On Thursday, basketball teams played against Waverly. The boys won, but the girls lost.
On Friday, there was a swim meet. Hastings ranked third place for both boys and girls.
It was a big weekend in wrestling. Hastings High ranked first in the district, making them the champions. Sophomores Bryce Brown and Damen Pape and seniors Blayne Kile and Connor Laux all won in their respective classes. Sophomores Izaak Hunsley and Mason Brumbaugh received second place. Senior Joel Smith received third place. All of the above wrestlers qualified for state. State is next weekend in Omaha at the Centurylink Center.
On Saturday, Hastings High hosted the ACT.
On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday select Hastings High students attended the Wesleyan Honor Festival for band, orchestra, and choir.
