With the new year coming up, many shows are leaving netflix in favor of other services or on demand viewing. Make sure to catch these movies and shows before they leave Netflix! Some of my favorite picks for watching are:
- The Autopsy of Jane Doe
- This horror film is riveting and quite terrifying. As someone who’s seen lots of horror movies, this was a tension-filled, Squimish movie. It follows a family of two as they go through the process of an autopsy, as disturbing things begin to happen
- Airplane!
- This is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. Watch it with a friend or group, and grab some popcorn because it is hilarious. It follows a paranoid pilot as he struggles to successfully take overflying a plane. While the humor is definitely of its time, that doesn’t take away from the hilarity.
- Back to the Future Part 1,2 and 3
- This classic trilogy is timeless and most definitely is worth watching. All of these films are exceptional and are sure to satisfy your 80s fix
- Her
- While this romance movie has a very odd premise (a man falls in love with a.i.) it’s actually not odd, or bad at all. This movie is very refreshing and will leave you thinking after it’s over. Definitely worth your time!
- Indiana Jones
- The entire Indiana Jones series will be leaving Netflix in 2021, so just like back to the future, these films are a necessity for any classic film fan.
- Nacho Libre
- Nacho Libre is another hilarious movie, except from 2006. It carries lots of hilarious jokes. This was Jack Blacks breakout movie, and he really sells some of the jokes!
- The Notebook
- While, admittedly, I haven’t seen The Notebook, I’ve heard it’s a great romantic film. I’m sure any girl throughout high school will tell you it’s wonderful.
- The Office (U.S)
- The Office holds a special place in my heart, as it is one of the shows that I’ve gone back and watched time and time again. Though it is bittersweet to see it go, as now I’ll need to watch other shows, that’s alright. The Office is funny, heartwarming, plot-driven, and sad at times, but is a truly amazing show. If you haven’t seen it yet, I don’t know what to tell you. Binge it!
