Lindsey Amaya is a senior at Hastings Senior High School and is a part of the Tiger cheerleader team. She is very active by being involved in many clubs and activities offered at school.
“Throughout my highschool career, I spent my time playing soccer, being part of the cheer team, participating in National Honors Society, and playing in the HHS Orchestra. I am very thankful for the opportunities that I had, and all that I was involved in because I created memories and friends that I’ll always remember,” senior Lindsey Amaya said.
Even though graduating high school is an exciting, eventful thing in a teenager’s life, there are some memories that are going to be missed. Looking back at her times spent at the high school, Amaya includes a variety of her favorite classes.
“I’m going to miss cheering at games and seeing my best friends everyday,” Amaya said. “All around high school, I enjoyed elective classes, such as business classes or sports performance, more than any of my core classes.”
After high school, the most common next step is attending college. Amaya had many options for which colleges she wanted to attend; therefore, she came to the conclusion on one.
“I have not looked into any specific careers yet, but I plan to study business administration at University of Lincoln Nebraska,” Amaya said.
Going into college can be a scary, nervous, or exciting experience. In Amaya’s perspective, she believes that going to college opens up more and new opportunities.
“I am excited to be going to college next year. The things that I am looking forward to are the new experiences and meeting new people in college,” Amaya said.
Amaya’s actions and personality throughout high school continues through the rest of her education career. Adding on, like mostly every student, Amaya sets new goals for her next chapter in life.
“Next year, I hope to focus on school and learn to be more independent,” Amaya said.
