When is it too early to start celebrating Christmas? Some say before Thanksgiving, which makes sense because the holiday in November is Thanksgiving. Other people feel that there is little Thanksgiving spirit and skip thanksgiving decorations to go straight to Christmas decorations. A poll on this controversial question showed that 42 percent of people thought that you shouldn’t celebrate Christmas before Thanksgiving. 33 percent Four out of 12 people, including me, thought that you shouldn’t celebrate Christmas before Halloween, and 25 percent of people said that it’s never too early to get into the Christmas spirit. Lots of people start celebrating Christmas at different times and there is no correct answer; it depends on how much Christmas spirit the person has.Â
In my opinion, you can start celebrating Christmas when Halloween ends. It seems the celebration of Christmas comes earlier every year, and I enjoy it. I have always enjoyed Christmas and anticipate it more than anyone. My birthday is on December 26, the day after Christmas, so that is the only time of the year I get presents. I also enjoy all of the decorations that go around town. Wreaths, trees, lights, and the snow set a good theme for the season. I do not think that Christmas should be celebrated in October since Halloween has its own monthly celebration with its own decorations. It’s best to start putting up the Christmas tree about halfway through November, in order to get the most out of your holiday season.
