Love. Hate. Miracles. Nightmares. All of these are themes of several blockbusters that have been made over the years.
On Valentine’s Day, romance movies are watched across the continent, to put people in the loving mood.
There happen to be several movies out there that are cute and sweet, such as Dear John, Pretty Women, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
Great romance movies have been made over the years, but there are three special love stories that come to mind during this affectionate time of year.
Starting off my list at number three is The Last Song. In this movie, a 17 year old girl, Ronnie, is sent to live with her father for the summer. She is a naughty girl that resents her father.
She then meets a handsome guy and begins to fall in love with him. After that, she starts loving music, the one thing she and her dad had in common.
I love this movie. The Last Song keeps you in your seats, as it leaves you wanting to know more. The story behind the movie is great, with love and even a little disappointment.
My second favorite romance of all time is The Vow. Paige, the wife of Leo, is left in a coma after the couple is involved in a car crash.
When Paige awakes from her coma, she does not recognize Leo, due to severe brain damage and memory loss. The last memory she has is that of being engaged to her ex-fiancé, Jeremy.
Despite all of his efforts, Leo can’t decide whether to move on with his life or not, after Paige doesn’t change her feelings.
The Vow is a very heart-racing love story. The ending it great, the characters are great, and the love in the movie is so strong.
Topping of my list at number one is A Walk to Remember. Landon Carter is a young rebel that pranks a fellow classmate, almost leaving him dead. Landon is then sentenced to participate in the school play.
While in the play, he meets Jamie, a quiet, church girl that he has known for years. He asks her for her help with his lines, and they start to get to know each other, and later begin to fall in love.
All is perfect, until Jamie tells Landon of her sickness, Leukemia. Landon then sets out to give Jamie her one wish, to witness a miracle.
The first time you see A Walk to Remember, the movie will touch your heart. It is a very cute story, and you tend to pick up more and more information about the story line the more times you watch it!
So during this great Valentine’s Day, I advise you to watch one of those romance movies, with someone that is very special to you.
