On Saturday, the Hastings High wrestling team travelled to Lincoln High School for the LPS Classic. The wrestlers defeated Lincoln High 54-24 and 51-20 to win the Non-LPS Division Championship. Lincoln Southeast and Lincoln Southwest were victorious over Hastings 33-30 and 45-27, respectively. Lincoln Southwest went on to win the LPS Division Championship.
Nolan Laux, 120, and Travis Hartwig, 195, both went 4-0 on the day, with Laux earning his 100th career win. Brandon Kile, 113 lbs; Damian Collins, 132 and 138; Kaleb Neugin, 145; Brady Michel, 160; and Dominic Rasmussen, 184, all went 3-1.
The wrestling team will travel to McCook for a dual on Thursday and to the Lexington Invite on Saturday.
